Haggling at car/motorcycle dealers!?

Hey, i’m just about to start contacting/visiting some local dealers as i’m looking to purchase the new kawasaki ninja 250r, it’s OTR RRP is £2,995 so i was just wondering what sort of price i can expect to pay?

I’ve never bought a new car/bike before – infact i’ve never so much as stepped foot into a dealer, so i’m new to it! Are they likely to drop a few hundred off the RRP if i haggle or are they generally pretty hard to budge? Bearing in mind i’ll also be spending around £500 on riding gear are they likely to give me a discount on that?

1 Make only one purchase. If you want more than just the bike let them know it will be 1 purchase.

2 Know the price before you go.

3 Have your finances set up before you go in. If they are getting the bike financed for you how can you tell them “I don’t have that much to spend”

4 Have your highest number in your head. Do not let the salesman go over that number by even $1. Be prepared to walk away.
