This die holder allows us to chuck a die in a lathe tail stock to ensure perfect die positioning. We give these to nerdy friends as Christmas presents. This gearbox shifter mechanism  cover comes from a Francis-Barnett Falcon motorcycle. The circular plate on the upper right was missing. It's an inspection hole cover. Where would you go to buy an inspection hole cover for a 1958 Francis-Barnett Falcon? Moto Rapido fabricated one from 6061 aluminum.
This aluminum piston stopper screws in the spark plug hole. When the piston is brought to contact with the stopper, you note the degrees on a degree wheel, then turn the crank the other direction, mark the degree point where it stops, and subtract the two points, to find true top dead center. A dial indicator will do the same thing, perhaps more accurately, but on some motors it is better to use a piston stopper. This custom-built leakdown tester allows Moto Rapido to test seals, whether old or new, for leaks. Leaky seals cause lean running in two-strokes, and often allow engines to race out of control, causing seizures.
A friend asked Moto Rapido to replicate a complete set of Vespa motor scooter factory service tools. Here (above left and right) are a few bearing and seal drivers.
